      John Aitken
      John Aitken, 80, of 302 Chestnut street, died at his home this morning after a short illness. He was born September 6, 1850, at Dudash, Lithgow, Scot., and has been a resident of Holyoke for the past 45 years. He was employed by the Jolly Machine company for 35 years. He was past president of the Holyoke Caledonia club and charter member and past grand of Manchester Unity of Odd Fellows. He leaves six daughters, Mrs Walter Miles, Mrs Allen Malcolm, Mrs Donald Cameron and Mrs Ward Packard, and Miss Christine Aitken, all of Holyoke, and Mrs John Heath of Hopkins; two sons, John Aitken, Jr., and Richard Aitken of Holyoke; 15 grandchildren and seven great grand children. The funeral will be held at the First Presbyterian church.
